What is phosphatide concentrate

During the production of sunflower seed oil, the oil is separated from solid parts and by-products. During the separation process, phospholipids and other valuable substances are concentrated, which are then collected in the form of a concentrate. That is, phosphatide concentrate is a product with a particularly high content of phospholipids (over 60% of the total mass), which are important components of the cell membranes of all living organisms. It includes phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylserine and phosphatidic acid, which are involved in numerous biological processes.

In addition to phospholipids, it also contains other components of the seed - fatty acids, tocopherols and natural antioxidants, which enhance the functionality of the product.

Phosphatides make up at least 60% by weight, and insoluble matter is no more than 1.5%, which indicates a high level of purification. The acidity index does not exceed 10 mg KOH/g, confirming the freshness and proper storage of the concentrate. All technical parameters comply with the SOU 15.4-37-212:2004 standard for phosphatide concentrates.
